MetaMask Tutorial

Below is a tutorial on setting up a MetaMask digital wallet.

If you are located in the United States you will not be able to fund your MetaMask wallet with BNB and may prefer another option like Trust Wallet.

Open https://metamask.io website or search for “MetaMask extension” in your favorite browser (you can install MetaMask for Chrome, Firefox and Opera browsers).

Click "Add to Chrome" to install MetaMask as a Google Chrome extension (the same for other browsers) and then click "Add Extension"

Click on the icon in the upper right corner to open the MetaMask extension, read and accept the terms, click "Continue"

Enter a secure password.

You will then be prompted to reveal your backup phrase.

Write this down. Physically. On paper. Save it.

When prompted, repeat the backup phrase on the next page and click "continue".

Congratulations, you have setup your wallet! Time to fund it.

How to import your wallet to MetaMask

​Install the MetaMask extension​

Click on the icon in the upper right corner to open the MetaMask extension, read and accept the terms. Click Continue.

Click "Import with seed phrase".

Enter the seed phrase (mnemonic phrase) of your wallet.

Enter a strong password and click Import. Congratulations, you did it!

Alternative option — import a wallet using a private key or JSON file

After creating an account, click on the “Account” button in the upper right corner (see screenshots below).

Click Import account.

Select preferred entry type. If you want to import an account using your wallet’s private key, simply paste your private key string and click Import.
